OCTOBER 31st, 2012
School is closed!
Due to Hurricane Debris.
In conjunction with Haddonfield Public School District, Christ the King Regional School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday October 31, 2012 due to public safety concerns in our immediate area. From preliminary reports, I am happy to report that our school sustained no damage and currently has power. Our closure is based on real and serious traffic concerns, local streets that are blocked with debris and fallen tress and the dangers posed by loose hanging tree limbs as well as the continued power outages in our extended sending area. All of these conditions make it unwise and unsafe for our children to try and get to CKRS via cars, buses or walking. As a reminder, CKRS was already scheduled to be closed on Nov. 1st in observance of All Saint Day.
CKRS will reopen on Friday Nov. 2, 2012. After First Friday Mass all Halloween Classroom Celebrations will be held, as well as Haunted House visits and the scheduled Halloween Parade at 1:30 p.m. Other than the time adjustment to our schedule, all other regular CKRS Halloween traditions and procedures will be in place. Please reference Mrs. Herman's email "Halloween reminders and rules" for further information and CKRS guidelines for Friday's celebration.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
Please stay safe in the coming days and pray for all those throughout N.J. and the East Coast not as fortunate as many of us who were spared the harshest wrath of this devastating storm.
In the King's Service
