Admission Process

We are currently accepting registrations!  To begin the admissions process, please contact us to schedule a personalized tour or stop by any of our scheduled Open Houses throughout the year.  Check our front page calendar for Open House dates.

After your tour, please fill out the appropriate registration form (for Pre-K or K-8).  You'll find a list of forms in the "Admissions and Registrations Forms" tab to the left of this page.  We strongly encourage all prospective families to tour and meet with the prinicipal.

Pre-Kindergarten:   Our Pre-K program has limited availability.  Children entering our Pre-K program must be potty trained before school begins.

Kindergarten:   Registering for Kindergarten does not guarantee a spot in our full day program.  A meeting with the principal and an assessment on the child must be conducted before acceptance is considered.  Each child will be tested by our kindergarten teachers through a general knowledge assessment.  The teachers will evaluate your child and determine if your child is ready to enter our kindergarten program.  The scheduled dates for testing and principal meetings are to be determined.

After the tests and meetings are completed, letters will be mailed out stating the results informing you of your admissions status.  Letters are expected to be mailed out by mid-April.

We can only accommodate a total of 50 children each year for kindergarten.  Please note our Kindergarten Age requirement:  In accordance with the Diocesan and State regulations, pupils will be admitted to Kindergarten if they are five (5) years old by September 30th.   All new pupils must present Health Records and Certificates of Birth and Baptism.

Grades 1-8:   To be considered for acceptance to CKRS, any student who is currently enrolled in grades one to eight inclusively, must submit an application packet consisting of:
1) an unofficial copy of academic records to date or the last final report card from the previous year.
2)  a letter of reference/recommendation/support from a school, church or community member who has known the prospective student for more than two years who can speak to their overall character and disposition.
3) a family statement answering why you and your child are interested in becoming a members of the Christ the King Regional School community.
Once all documents are received and reviewed, the parents/guardians of those students eligible for admission will be contacted by a member of our Enrollment Management Team. At this time, Parents/Guardians will be invited to attend an admission conference with the Principal to discuss any concerns or questions prior to registration of their child(ren)and a date will be set for the prospective student(s) to visit or shadow for an entire school day.

In accordance with the Diocesan and State regulation, first grade pupils will be admitted if they are six (6) years old by September 30th.
